I am Nicholas Tay Meng Kiat, an Industrial Design (Second Class Honours) Graduate from UNSW. I believe in designing products that would improve people's lives or the people's living conditions / environments. My passion for Industrial Design streams from my initial project "Reggal Original". This design concept enable me to attain the prestigious Red Dot Award: Design Concept in 2012 and motivated my passion in industrial design even further.
I believe the process of designing a product from conceptual stage to production stage is an essential and irreplaceable journey all industrial designers experience. Fortunately, I find the process of designing intriguing and exciting for me. With my background of having studied and trained in Electrical / Electronic Engineering prior to my studies of Industrial Design in UNSW, I am well equipped with some know how & the technological advancements being used in the field of Electrical Engineering that would enable me to come up with better and more innovative products. Due to my passion in design thinking and my knowledge in electrical engineering, I managed to attain a Distinction for my Final Year Project "Fighting Bushfires" & "Assisting Firefighters".
